Chicago Victim Waits for Name to be Cleared

A man living in Chicago, Illinois is still waiting for his name to be cleared after his innocence in a murder case was proven.

The man reportedly spent 26 years in jail for the murder of a man, but was released from prison after the real criminal was exposed.

Man Convicted for Murder

Alton Logan was convicted of killing a security guard during the robbery of a McDonald’s in 1982.

Logan was charged and sent to prison, where he has spent almost three decades.

However, earlier this year a law firm revealed that their client was responsible for the guard’s death, but they were under agreement to conceal their knowledge.

When their client died, the attorneys came forth and admitted he was the killer.

Innocence Proven, but Name Still not Cleared

Although Logan has been released from prison, he is still fighting an ongoing battle to have his records cleared of the crime he didn’t commit.

The judge has set Logan’s next court date for September and prosecutors are scrambling to get witnesses to attempt to still prove he’s guilty.
