"State senate refused to pass Delaware DUI laws"
Delaware’s state senate refused to consider a Delaware DUI bill that was intended to reduce alcohol related crashes by lowering the blood alcohol level for motorists from .10 to .08. The Delaware governor expressed her disappointment in that the state is now in the position to lose $1.6 million in federal highway funds in the federal fiscal year that begins October 1, 2003, and possibly even millions more in the future years.
