Kansas DUI laws change in response to campaigning by victim’s parents
After a yearlong stay, a driver under the new Kansas DUI law could pay between $5,110 and $9,125 to get the car back depending on what city has seized the vehicle. If the costs are not paid, the lot owners can sell the cars to recover costs. Many people are concerned that the Kansas DUI laws will instead punish relatives and families of convicted DUI offenders that are borrowing the family car.
