Mom Arrested After Son Mauled by Pit Bull
An Ohio mother was arrested on charges of child endangerment after the family’s pit bull puppy mauled her four-year-old son’s foot.
Twenty-three year old Marina Jennings rushed her son to the hospital when she noticed his foot was bleeding. She told law enforcement that she saw blood on the pit bull’s chest and face.
The young boy’s foot had to be amputated.
Because Jennings’ son was born with spina bifida—when the spinal cord and backbone don’t close before birth—he had no feeling in his legs and didn’t feel the dog biting him, resulting in severe injury.
The pit bull puppy was euthanized. Jennings is currently being held at the county jail on charges of felony.
