Good Deed Gone Wrong in MN

A man living in St. Paul, Minnesota, recently found himself arrested after attempting to help a child.

Although charges against the man have since been dropped, they have reportedly caused him many problems.

Man Accused of Kidnapping

Ali Abdilahi was driving to his home in St. Paul when he saw a girl on the ground in the snow who appeared to be hurt.

According to Abdilahi he stopped to talk to her and ask if she needed help and the 14-year-old girl told him her boyfriend had beat her up.

He then gave her some money and drove her to a bus stop since she didn’t want to go home and says that was the last he saw of her.

Girl Claims Sexual Assault

However, the girl told police a completely different story and Abdilahi was arrested the next day for sexual assault.

“I knew I didn’t do it, but nobody believed me,” says Abdilahi.

The girl later admitted to lying about the situation, saying she pulled a prank and thought no one would get in trouble.

Life Altered Due to False Accusations

Abdilahi reportedly lost his job after being accused of sexual assault to a minor and he says he’s now having a difficult time finding another job.

He has also been hurt financially due to bond and attorney fees.
