The family of a teen who has been accused and arrested for being an accomplice in the death of a classmate is claiming he is innocent.
The New Hampshire teen has been charged for the sale of a narcotic drug that resulted in the untimely death of an 18 year old.
Drug Takes Life
Montgomery Proulx, 19, was arrested for selling fentanyl patches to Evan Schwager, 18, the same day the senior was found dead at his home.
However, a relative of Proulx’s has come forward and said the accused victim told him it wasn’t him who gave the drug to Schwager, it was actually another student.
“He’s been arrested for something he didn’t do,” says the relative. “He didn’t kill a kid; he was not the one who put it on the kid.”
The patch was reportedly administered to Proulx at a party and police are still investigating who else was involved.
Teen Tried Turning Life Around
Although Proulx has had past run-ins with the law, including charges of stalking, his family claims that he was no longer running with the bad crowd he used to.
Relatives claim that he was looking to enroll in the military and getting his life back on track, until these recent false accusations were brought against him.
The family has said they plan on taking legal action if charges against Proulx aren’t dropped and his record cleared.
