New Oregon DUI bill signed

The governor of Oregon has signed into law new bills in hopes of reducing Oregon DUIs. The package of Oregon DUI bills were passed by the 2003 Legislature, including imposing longer sentences for the people convicted of criminally negligent homicide while driving drunk, requiring a guilty plea before an Oregon DUI defendant can enter a treatment program to avoid a longer jail sentence, and setting stricter fines for people refusing g to take a Breathalyzer test.
