Mile High Man Charged With ‘Overt Sexual Activity’ On Plane
A California man who was arrested after he allegedly refused to stop engaging in sexual activity with his girlfriend on an airplane, claims he was laying on her lap because he was ill.
During a layover in Phoenix, flight attendants spotted Carl Warren Persing and Dawn Elizabeth Sewell “acting in a manner that made other passengers uncomfortable,” state court documents.
The couple was asked to stop their behavior but they allegedly started right back up when the plane took off from Phoenix. After they were asked to stop again, the flight crew claims Persing and Sewell verbally harassed them and interfered with the flight.
However, according to the couple’s attorney Deb Newton, the flight attendant misinterpreted Persing’s innocent gesture and humiliated the couple in front of other passengers.
Newton claims that Persing, who allegedly suffers from a disease, was dizzy, drowsy, and irritable and wants the charges against her clients to be dismissed.
